主讲人简介：加拿大女王大学（Queen’s University）历史系副教授。中国近现代史专家，曾出版专著Smokeless Sugar: The death of a provincial bureaucrat and the construction of China's national economy。近年来环境史的理论、方法与中国环境史研究。

讲座简介：The lecture will introduce the discussions and debates over the theories and methods of environmental history in Western scholarship. The issues are the most concerned topics in scholarly frontiers in the West. The lecture also deals with the application of these environmental theories and methods in Chinese history.
